EU energy ministers are due to meet in Luxembourg on 29 October to discuss a proposed regulation on electricity network charges, according to the Council’s forward agenda released on 23 October.
The meeting will also address immediate and longer-term energy security and possible targets for the period after 2030. The network-charge proposal is presented as part of work on the future structure of electricity bills.
This is advance notice of a ministerial discussion. The published agenda does not announce an agreed household tariff, a completed regulation or a guaranteed reduction in bills.
