Britain and Germany have agreed to add artificial intelligence to their Cyber Lighthouse defence project and begin further work on military space cooperation. Their November 2 joint statement follows the second Defence Ministerial Council under the Trinity House Agreement.
The ministers also recorded the signing of an implementing arrangement on Sting Ray procurement. They identified satellite communications, earth observation and space-domain awareness as areas in which to explore collaboration.
The statement distinguishes completed steps from development programmes. A separate long-range strike project remains aimed at delivery within the decade; the ministers did not announce that those weapons are already operational. Both countries also reaffirmed support for Ukraine.
