The European Space Agency says around 23,000 visitors attended open days at six establishments across Europe this autumn. Its review published on 22 October covers visits held between 19 September and 10 October in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
More than 200 activities included talks, workshops, simulations, exhibitions and hands-on experiments. Astronauts, researchers, engineers and volunteers introduced visitors to places where European space missions are designed, tested and operated.
This is a recent retrospective account of completed events. It is not an invitation to attend those same dates or a claim that the open days are taking place this week.
